屡次出现被收购传闻

股价过山车

在过去的15个月里，Twitter的每月活跃用户数增速大幅放缓。2015年第一季度时Twitter的每月活跃用户数为3.02亿，今年第二季度这一数字仅仅增长到了3.13亿。同一阶段Facebook的每月活跃用户数增加了2.71亿，总数已经达到了17.1亿，单单增长的那部分就差不多和Twitter的活跃用户总数持平。

Twitter的营收倒是还在增长，最近一个季度相比去年同期同比增长了20%，然而这也是Twitter自2013年上市以来最小的增幅。用户数量停滞不前，Twitter如今最大的希望或许就是推出更多、更好的广告产品，从现有的每个用户身上产生额外的收入。

在股价方面，Twitter股价自今年以来已经累计下跌了20.1%。其中，只有在今年9月末Twitter频频传出有望被其他科技企业收购的时候股价迎来过短暂提升。

目前的华尔街分析人士普遍认为，如今的Twitter已经创新不再，并没有实现自己多年前许下“致力于成为下一代伟大社交网络平台”的承诺。
