Foreign Media survey: one-fourth American science and technology workers from discrimination-employment discrimination at work-IT information

According to foreign reports, online job search site Indeed.com survey released Tuesday, about one-fourth of American tech workers said they were discriminated against in work. Tech suffered criticism for lack of diversity.

Indeed.com 1002 American technology workers last December after investigation found that because of their ethnic origin, sex, age, religion or sexual orientation issues, 24% respondents in the company of discrimination. This online survey by consultancy company Censuswide responsible for this is Indeed.com conducted a similar survey for the first time.

About 29% of the women surveyed said they were subjected to discriminatory treatment, than male 21%. About 32% of Asian and non-white employees were subjected to discriminatory treatment, 22% of percentage higher than that of white employees. Indeed.com surveys do not provide the details about the nature of discrimination.

Indeed.com Senior Vice President product Laji·mukeji (Raj Mukherjee) said, "these findings should be regarded as an industry-wide alarm, simply hiring diverse talent is not enough, must emphasize culture and attitudes. ”
